Point-of-sale provider to the global stadium & arena sector, MyVenue, has been awarded System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 accreditation. The endorsement certifies that MyVenue’s cyber security controls safely manage data and protect the privacy and interests of organizations and individuals.
MyVenue Risk Specialist Scott Tscharke said: “As a next-gen point-of-sale solution for the hospitality sector, managing cyber security risk is critical. Having our security framework with supporting policies and cyber security controls certified was a key strategic initiative for MyVenue. It enhances our commitment to providing venues with the most robust products and secure services.”
MyVenue was audited by Prescient Assurance, a global leader in security and compliance certifications for B2B and SaaS companies. An extract from the report stated, “Prescient provides an unqualified opinion that MyVenue controls are suitably designed to provide reasonable assurance that MyVenue service commitments and system requirements would be achieved. Achieving this standard with an unqualified opinion serves as independent validation that MyVenue provides enterprise-level security for all sensitive data secured in their platform.”
Independent cyber security consultant Cerri Morgan added, “MyVenue has demonstrated a deep commitment to building a risk-based, business-driven, cyber security program. I congratulate their leadership team for recognizing this as an area of ongoing focus.”
About SOC 2
An independent 3rd-party report demonstrating how organizations achieve key compliance controls and objectives. SOC 2 is based on the auditing standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The report evaluates organizations’ information systems relevant to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
