MyVenue technology victorious at Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix

MIAMI GARDENS, FL -- As cars raced around the Miami International Autodrome, MyVenue’s fast & scalable point of sale (POS) solution processed over 223,000 transactions across concessions, portables, restaurants, and bars at the inaugural Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix.

The race was the first of its kind; entirely surrounding the iconic Hard Rock Stadium where MyVenue is the Official POS Technology Provider.

A total of 910 POS terminals with the next-gen MyVenue solution were deployed across an area spanning 20 football fields. Comprehensive offline technology ensured venue staff were able to continue taking credit card sales despite intermittent WI-FI network disruptions at the track.

The portability and scalability of MyVenue was also on show. With a quarter-million fans attending the event, organizers needed to quickly pivot operations multiple times; including reassigning trackside terminals, reconfiguring POS menus, and last-minute deployment of tills for independent food contractors.

The cloud-based back office, which includes a real-time reporting dashboard and remote monitoring technology, helped make these operational adjustments quick and easy.

Twelve deeply experienced MyVenue POS specialists provided on-site support throughout the event, including the successful installation of terminals, venue staff training, and supervising the system’s performance.
